Nada Yoga / Sing Out Workshop ~ 12th May 2007
We are all born with a natural ability to ‘sing out’. Not many of us manage to maintain this ability as we grow up – for many different reasons.
Re-finding our song, working with it, listening to it, putting it out, defining it, refining it, respecting it, losing it, playing with it, growing with it, is a rich and rewarding experience. We are all born with an amazing voice – we are born to sing! We shall be doing some breathing and rhythm work. Learning the Indian Sa Re Ga system we shall feast upon divine sound. We shall also be doing some more subtle nada yoga practises.
Krishnadhyanam (Richard Roberts) has been developing his ‘sing out’ work since 1980. Inspired initially by work with the Roy Hart Theatre in the 1970’s, he has worked with teachers in Europe and India. He works with groups and individuals both as a yoga teacher (Bihar School of Yoga, founded by Swami Satyananda Saraswati) and as a voice/sound facilitator.
